What does the Combi Drum offer?
- All-in-one: drum filter, UV-C lamp, chambers for biofilter media and Japanese mat – everything needed to keep your pond water clean.
- Flexible installation: the gravity-fed model is suitable for underground installation (concealed), while the pump-fed model allows for creating a beautiful and dynamic waterfall.
- Efficiency: effectively removes all solid particles (waste, uneaten food, algae, etc.).
- Simplicity: easy to install and requires minimal maintenance.
How does the Combi Drum work?
The Combi Drum filter uses innovative drum technology combined with a moving biofilter and UV-C lamp to ensure optimal water flow and filtration.
Initially, polluted pond water flows into the first chamber. In the second chamber, the drum filter and UV-C lamp perform mechanical filtration and ultraviolet disinfection. Aeration stones are placed at the bottom of the third chamber. When connected to an air pump, aeration begins. For optimal efficiency, the third chamber should be filled up to 70% with biomedia (Hel-X granules and/or Japanese mat). After a few weeks, beneficial bacteria begin to colonize the biomedia, initiating biological water purification.

Choose the model that suits you best:
- Gravity-fed filter (Gravity) is installed underground and is ideal for a natural pond.
- Pump-fed filter (Pump) is installed at a higher level and is also suitable for creating a waterfall.
Not included in the Combi Drum set (available separately):
- Hel-X bio media 13 × 12 mm 955 m²/m³ 100 L
- Japanese mat 2 m² 50 mm 645 m²/m³
In addition, a trickle filter/degasifier system has been designed for the COMBI DRUM, with a structure that fits precisely on top of the COMBI DRUM filter. Water flows through the trickle filter from top to bottom over plates with fine openings arranged in steps, eventually returning to the COMBI DRUM filter. During this process, harmful components (nitrite, ammonium, carbon dioxide, proteins, etc.) are removed from the water, and the water is enriched with oxygen. The trickle filter chambers can optionally be filled with various filtering materials. The trickle filter must be purchased separately.
