Filtreau UV-C Module Amalgam is the next generation of UV-C lamps. Amalgam lamps are known for their exceptional efficiency and longer lifespan (12 000 h), offering a stable level of UV-C radiation capable of effectively eliminating bacteria, viruses, and algae in large volumes of water. Therefore, the UV-C Module Amalgam is suitable for cleaning larger ponds and pools where high disinfection efficiency is required.
The UV-C lamp’s built-in “timer” allows users to monitor the operating time of the UV-C lamp. This feature helps the user know how long the lamp has been in use and reminds when it needs to be replaced to ensure continuous effectiveness. The timer ensures that the lamp is not used beyond its recommended lifespan, helping to maintain optimal disinfection performance.
How does UV-C Compact work?
- Water flows into the device via a pump.
- The UV-C lamp emits UV light (wavelength 253.7 nm), which destroys bacteria, viruses, and algae in the water.
- The purified water is directed back into the pond.
Advantages of UV-C treatment:
- ensures fresh, clean, and clear water
- disinfects water effectively and safely
- protects fish and humans from microbes
- keeps mold, bacteria, and algae growth under control
- more environmentally friendly than traditional water purification methods
Advantages of Filtreau UV-C Compact:
- thanks to higher output power, the UV-C Module Amalgam lamp is ideal for larger ponds, pools, and other large water systems where greater water volume disinfection is needed
- neutralizes up to 99.9% of microorganisms in water
- amalgam lamps generally have a longer service life (up to 12 000 hours), meaning less maintenance and lower costs for lamp replacement
- 360° flexible connection options for easier installation and maintenance
- grounded
- made in the Netherlands
- 2-year warranty
- manufacturer’s manual: pdf
EU Standards
All Filtreau UV-C devices comply with EU regulations and are safe for humans. The UV lamp lights up only when the casing is closed, minimizing user exposure to harmful UV radiation.
