Description
Japanese iris Variegata is a tall, highly decorative perennial. Its upright stems, reaching up to 80 cm, bear large, vivid purple flowers from June to July. The blooms have a delicate, pleasant fragrance. Leaves are the long, narrow, bright green. This iris thrives in fertile, wet, and even marshy soil, and it tolerates partial submersion in water. Grown as an ornamental plant primarily for its beautiful flowers.
