Note: Nymphaea Paranee is suitable for sunny or partly shaded locations (at least 5–6 hours of light daily). It blooms from June to September. Removing spent flowers and yellowed leaves helps keep the water cleaner. In 2018, this variety won second place in the international competition for the best hardy water lily.

Planting
Water lilies prefer rich, clay-like soil; sandy bottoms are not suitable for them. In a natural pond, they can be planted directly into the mud at a depth of at least 50 cm, where the bottom does not freeze in winter. If the pond freezes completely during the winter, the water lily should be removed in autumn along with the planting basket and placed in an appropriate wintering location. A dark cellar with low temperature is ideal. The plant should be placed in a water-filled container, its leaves removed, and regularly checked throughout the winter to ensure it has enough water, adding more as needed.
